I found your essay very informative. I didn't know William Calley only served three and a half years of house arrest.
Of course, that wasn't Robert Mueller's decision, so can you accuse him of hypocrisy?
My opinion about al-Megrahi's release would depend on whether this is a standard practice in Scotland when a prisoner is terminally ill, or whether the Scottish government released him to curry favor with the Libyan regime because of oil.
